Happy 7th Birthday!

My sweet Luke is 7. Where has the time gone? I am so grateful for the years that God has given to me with Luke. I will be honest...these celebrations are bittersweet. I sure wish Larson was here to celebrate with us, but I know he is celebrating in the most perfect place there is. As I kissed my son tonight, I could not help but think of the day he was born. What a great day. Never did I realize what a gift all my children are until this year. Yes I verbalized it to many, but did I really understand it? I walked into the hospital on August 21, 2001 and a baby was placed into my arms at 11:00am. Not only that...3 days later I got to take him home with me, rock him, feed him, love him, mend his wounds and teach him of Jesus. I took for granted that I would have a baby and take him home! I have been blessed 7 years with my son. I DO FEEL SO THANKFUL. I hope for many more years with him. He is an amazing blessing.

Happy Birthday, Luke! I agree... where has time gone? I cannot believe that Luke is 7! How did that happen so fast. You are an amazing mommy, Corie. Your blog posts are always so well written - from the heart. I hope to see you soon, my dear sweet friend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU LUKER!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU LUKER... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU LUKER... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOU!!!!! YOUR BUDDIES, JACOB AND JOE

Corie, wow.. it is weird is it not if you really ponder that we are mom's of older grade schoolers! I can't believe Jacob is 8... I think, I am a mom of an 8 year old... where in the world has time gone, just as you! Time really does seem to fly when they start school... Even more now, Steven's song Cinderella has really touches me daily and reminds me to see things differently. God is so sweet to give us this time with our little ones and to watch them grow and learn and be taught all of Him... I bet He looks at us the same as we our little ones... I am sure there are a few more oh dear's from Him towards us than there are from us towards our kids, but that's o.k. cauz we're never to old to learn...

Well, I am rambling now please feel free to delete this comment Im not really saying anything...

I love you and wanted you to know more than anything I am thinking of you today... Happy 7 month Birthday Sweet Larson, we all love you dearly!

Corie,

Thanks for checking in. It made my heart warm just to see a note from you. Being in touch with my mommy friends does so much for my heart.

It was a blessing to read about Luke's birthday. Oh, how our perspective changes. I'm so grateful that we are able to see what is really important so early in life - instead of waiting until we are 80 and finally "getting it."

Enjoy your family. Hugs and love.

Blessings,
Kirsten
